MASS Earns Best of 2025: Top-Rated STI Clinic in Hampton Roads

Minority AIDS Support Services, Inc. (MASS) has officially been recognized as one of the best STI clinics in Hampton Roads, and we are beyond proud to share this moment with the community that made it possible.

We earned the “Best of 2025” award not through nominations, ballots, or panels of industry insiders but through something far more meaningful: genuine reviews from real people in our community.

No selection committees. No voting campaigns. Just honest feedback from the clients we serve every day.

That distinction matters deeply to us because it means this recognition belongs just as much to you as it does to us.

This Is What Community Looks Like

MASS was built on a promise: to show up for the people and communities that the healthcare system has historically left behind.

We opened our doors to provide HIV/AIDS support services, STI testing, and wraparound care to those who needed it most, at a time when far too many people were falling through the cracks.

Years later, that promise hasn’t changed. What has changed is the scale of our impact, the depth of our reach, and the strength of the relationships we’ve built with the people we serve.

Every positive review we’ve received is a data point, yes… but more than that, it is a story.

It’s the story of a client who felt heard for the first time.

A person who came to us nervous and left feeling cared for.

Someone who trusted us with something deeply personal and walked away knowing that trust was well-placed.

Those stories are why we do this work, and they are exactly what this award reflects.

A Milestone Worth Celebrating

We also want to share another achievement we’re incredibly proud of: MASS currently ranks #2 among STI Clinics in our region on Google (right behind the Newport News Health Department).

Let that sink in for a moment.

The Newport News Health Department is a government-funded public health institution with decades of infrastructure, resources, and institutional support behind it.

MASS is a nonprofit, community-based organization powered by a passionate team and the unwavering trust of the people we serve.

To stand shoulder-to-shoulder with an institution of that caliber in the eyes of our community, based solely on how our clients feel about the care they receive, is nothing short of remarkable.

It tells us that access to compassionate, high-quality care doesn’t require a government budget.

It requires commitment.

It requires people who show up every single day ready to meet clients where they are, without judgment, without barriers, and without compromise.

That’s the MASS standard.

To Our Team: You Are the Reason

None of this happens without the people behind the work.

To every staff member, case manager, counselor, navigator, and volunteer who has poured themselves into this mission… this recognition is yours.

You are the ones building trust one appointment at a time.

You are the ones answering calls, sitting with people in difficult moments, and making sure no one feels alone in their health journey.

Your dedication is directly reflected in the words our clients chose to share publicly, and that is one of the most meaningful forms of validation there is.

We see you. We celebrate you. And we are grateful for you every single day.

To Our Clients: Thank You

If you have ever left us a review, recommended MASS to a friend or family member, or simply taken a moment to say “thank you” to a staff member

know that your words have impact far beyond what you might realize.

You are helping other people in your community make the decision to seek care.

You are telling someone who might be scared or uncertain that there is a place they can go where they will be treated with dignity and respect.

That is powerful. That is community care in action.

From all of us at MASS, thank you.

This award is a reflection of the relationship we’ve built together, and we do not take that lightly.

What’s Next

We’re not stopping here. This recognition energizes us to keep pushing…

To serve more people, to expand our reach, to deepen the quality of care we provide, and to continue showing up for this community the way you’ve always shown up for us.

Stay connected with us for updates on new programs, services, and upcoming events via social media and email.

And if you haven’t already dropped us a review, we’d love one from you.

Your feedback helps us grow and helps others find the care they need.
