FDA Approves HIV Prevention Drug PrEP for Teens

The Food and Drug Administration has approved the drug PrEP, also known as Truvada, for adolescents. In an anniuncement released this week, the government health agency recommended that the daily treatment be used by young men who have sex with men in combination with other safe-sex practices, like condom use, in order to prevent HIV infection.
