Minority AIDS Support Services has been servicing the Hampton Roads area for the last 25 years. We have been known as a testing resource for the community. Most people don’t know that we offer many more services that you can take advantage of. Preventative care that is accessible is a priority for us. From transportation, free condoms, and testing at home options, MASS aims to give you as many options as possible to be safe.

Transportation

Transportation is essential. MASS has many transportation programs for those who qualify. We do not want transportation to be a barrier and hold you back from getting the care that you need. For medical appointments and human services appointments, we have the MASS Medical Transportation program. Limited transportation is also available from our outreach team to and from outreach events. If you need us, we are here to help.

Free Condoms

Condoms are the easiest way to protect yourself. . Using a condom every time the correct way reduces your chance of acquiring or passing on an STI. MASS wants to give you access to condoms any type, anytime and anywhere. The free condoms that we have available are lubricated, non-lubricated, several textures and materials for your comfort. They are available for grabs at our local outreach events, all MASS locations, and through mail order here.

At Home Testing

Some people are apprehensive about coming in to get tested. If this is you, then you are not alone. If you’re looking for privacy, convenience, and accuracy, then at–home testing is for you. If you live in Virginia but don’t stay near a MASS location, at-home testing is an option. . If your test is negative, then we recommend an ongoing HIV prevention strategy. If your test is positive, then we recommend going into a clinic to get it confirmed with a blood test.

MASS offers these services and many more. We assess each client on a case-by-case basis to see what your needs are. Then, we can recommend services to you based on the results of your assessment.  Our goal is to keep you healthy, safe, and educated. Contact us now to get started.
