Minority AIDS Support Services (MASS) continues to break barriers and redefine the landscape of healthcare. The launch of the Comprehensive Harm Reduction Program marks a transformative moment in providing inclusive, compassionate, and tailored support to those in need. Recognizing that harm reduction extends beyond clinical settings, our program actively engages the community out in the field by traveling weekly to different cities.
MASS is proud to offer the following:
Naloxone Distribution:
With the opioid crisis impacting communities nationwide, MASS takes proactive measures by distributing Naloxone. This life-saving medication can rapidly reverse opioid overdoses, a crucial intervention that aligns with MASS’s commitment to the well-being of the community.
Needle Exchange Program:
Central to the Harm Reduction Program is the Needle Exchange initiative. Recognizing the importance of preventing the transmission of bloodborne infections, MASS provides sterile needles and safe disposal options. This initiative not only promotes safer practices but also serves as a gateway for individuals to access other essential health services.
Other Support
MASS also offers syringes, alcohol pads, cotton, water basins, tourniquets, sharps containers, wound care kits, HIV home tests, and COVID home kits.
