This Women’s History Month, we at Minority AIDS Support Services (MASS) are shining a light on the incredible women who make our organization what it is. These four remarkable individuals – Felicia Miller, Donella Beaver, Schwonda Wilson, and Gwendolyn Ellis-Wilson – embody the spirit of strength, dedication, and compassion that fuels our mission.
Meet Felicia D. Miller
Felicia D. Miller, a wife, mother, singer, entrepreneur, and most importantly for us, a passionate Case Manager, brings a wealth of life experience and a genuine desire to serve others to her work. Felicia’s recent nomination for Case Manager of the Year is a testament to her commitment to her clients and the MASS mission.
Meet Donella Beaver
Donella Beaver, our Remote Tele-PrEP Coordinator, is the bridge between patients and the resources they need. Donella doesn’t just see a job description; she sees herself as an advocate, ensuring patients have access to testing, treatment, and answers, all while navigating the complexities of online healthcare.
Meet Schwonda Wilson
Schwonda Wilson, a life coach, mentor, and community leader, brings 25 years of experience in HIV prevention to her role as Housing Manager. Schwonda’s dedication extends beyond housing; she is a champion for at-risk youth in the LGBTQ community, empowering them to reach their full potential.
Meet Gwendolyn Ellis-Wilson
Gwendolyn Ellis-Wilson, our Director of Operations, has dedicated nearly two decades to MASS. Gwendolyn’s leadership and unwavering commitment to the organization are fueled not only by her MSW degree but also by her recent MBA in Strategic Leadership. With a team she deeply respects, Gwendolyn is excited to guide MASS towards an even brighter future.
These four women, along with countless others at MASS, are making a tangible difference in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Their stories are a powerful reminder that women are leaders, changemakers, and the backbone of our communities. We celebrate them not just this month, but every day.
